Honira is a social and creative app centered on outfit inspiration, feed sharing, and AI-enhanced visual styling. Because users may upload photos, create profile details, and interact with community features, some information needs to be processed to run the app responsibly, improve performance, and maintain platform safety.
This policy applies to the Honira iOS application, related services connected to empyrean.honira.work, and support communications handled through the contact channels listed below.
1. Data Collection
Information gathered through Honira may fall into a few different categories depending on how the app is used. Some details are provided directly by users, while other records are generated automatically by devices and app systems.
- Account and profile details: this can include a username, display name, email address, profile image, bio text, login credentials or authentication identifiers, and any preferences saved within the app.
- User content: when users publish feed posts, upload outfit photos, submit captions, use tags such as fit-related hashtags, comment, react, message support, or apply AI background restyling tools, the app may receive and process those images, text entries, and related metadata.
- Device and technical records: this may include IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, identifiers used for security or analytics, crash reports, performance logs, and approximate network location inferred from technical signals.
- Usage activity: this can include pages viewed, features used, content interactions, session timing, search activity, moderation events, and engagement patterns that help operate community and recommendation features.
Honira may also rely on third-party software development kits and similar tools for functions such as hosting, analytics, authentication, abuse prevention, payments if later introduced, and customer support operations. Those tools may receive limited technical or event-based information needed for their function.
Certain permissions may be requested on iOS where relevant to the user experience:
- Photos / Camera: for uploading outfit images, profile pictures, and AI visual edits.
- Location: only if a location-based feature is offered and the user chooses to grant access; otherwise, precise location is not required for ordinary use.
- Contacts: not required for standard functionality unless an optional friend-finding feature is introduced and permission is affirmatively granted.
AI-specific request data
When a user chooses an AI styling feature, Honira may prepare a limited set of AI request data connected to that request. Depending on the feature used, this may include the selected outfit photo, an on-device subject matte extracted from that photo, the selected scene style or edit instruction, optional prompt text entered by the user, and the minimum technical request metadata needed to return the generated result to the app.
Honira does not send that AI request data to a third-party AI provider automatically at photo selection alone. Before transmission, the app presents a dedicated in-app disclosure explaining what will be sent, who it will be sent to, and why. The user must choose to continue before the AI request data is transmitted.
2. Data Usage
The information described above is used to keep Honira functional, visual, personalized, and safe. Different categories of information may be utilized for different reasons.
- To create and manage user accounts, sign-ins, and profile settings.
- To host, display, edit, and distribute user-submitted outfit content within the community experience.
- To power AI-driven image processing features, including background restyling and visual output generation requested by the user.
- To maintain moderation, investigate misuse, detect spam or fraud, and enforce platform rules.
- To improve app stability, diagnose bugs, measure performance, and understand feature usage trends.
- To communicate administrative notices, support replies, policy updates, security alerts, or important service-related messages.
- To develop recommendations, ranking systems, discovery tools, or aesthetic personalization features based on usage behavior and content engagement.
Honira may use certain information for marketing or product promotion where permitted by law, such as sending updates about new features or community launches. Users may opt out of promotional communications when those communications are offered.
How AI request data is used
AI request data is used only to provide the user-requested AI function, such as background restyling, image editing, visual generation, or image understanding tied to the selected Honira feature. For example, Honira may use the selected photo and subject matte to preserve the outfit and subject while generating a new background scene, or use prompt text and image input to analyze or transform the selected image.
If the user selects Not Now, closes the consent flow, or otherwise declines the AI disclosure, Honira does not send that photo, matte, or prompt text to the third-party AI provider for that request. In that case, the AI action does not proceed.
Information may also be shared with service providers or business partners acting on Honira’s behalf when needed for hosting, security, analytics, content processing, customer support, legal compliance, or operational delivery. Data is not sold in the ordinary sense of directly exchanging personal information for money; however, some disclosures may still be treated as a “sharing” or similar concept under applicable privacy laws, and users may request applicable opt-out rights where those laws apply.
3. Data Storage & Security
Data connected to Honira may be stored on cloud infrastructure, secured databases, content delivery systems, backup environments, and internal administrative tools operated either by Honira or by vendors supporting the service. Storage locations may be in the United States or in other jurisdictions where infrastructure or service providers operate.
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or loss. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, password protection, logging, role-based permissions, secure development practices, and review processes for sensitive systems.
No online environment can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. For that reason, users should avoid sharing content they would not want retained, reviewed for moderation, or processed through app systems.
Retention periods depend on the type of record involved. Broadly speaking:
- Account information may be kept while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, fraud-prevention, dispute, and backup purposes.
- User-generated content may remain available until deleted by the user, removed by moderation, or cleared under internal retention schedules.
- Technical logs and analytics records may be retained for shorter operational periods unless needed for security investigations or legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Services
Honira may integrate outside providers to support portions of the app that cannot reasonably be operated without specialized infrastructure. These providers may assist with areas such as server hosting, image processing, AI functionality, analytics, account authentication, customer support, content moderation, security screening, push notifications, and payment processing if paid features become available later.
AI provider disclosure
Honira currently uses SiliconFlow as a third-party AI service provider for certain AI styling features. If a user chooses to proceed with an AI request after the in-app disclosure, Honira may send the selected image, the locally extracted subject matte, the selected scene or edit instruction, optional prompt text, and limited technical request metadata to SiliconFlow so that SiliconFlow can process and return the requested AI output.
SiliconFlow receives that information only when needed to perform the AI service requested by the user. Honira expects service providers handling user data on its behalf to process the data only for the contracted service, to maintain commercially reasonable safeguards, and to handle the data in line with applicable law and provider obligations. Users should nevertheless understand that AI processing depends on a third-party technical environment outside the direct operation of the iOS app itself.
Those providers are permitted to receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their assigned services. Their handling of data may also be governed by their own privacy terms and legal duties. Although Honira works to choose providers suited for commercial app operations, users should understand that third-party systems form part of the broader technical environment of the app.
The app may also contain links or pathways to external websites, social channels, or services that are not controlled by Honira. Once a user leaves the Honira environment, the privacy practices of that destination are determined by the operator of that service.
5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where a user lives, privacy laws may provide specific rights regarding personal information. Honira aims to honor applicable requests within the timeframes required by law.
- Access: users may request confirmation of whether personal information is being processed and may ask for a copy of certain data.
- Correction: inaccurate or incomplete account details may be updated by the user or corrected upon request where appropriate.
- Deletion: users may ask for deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions for security, legal obligations, dispute handling, and legitimate operational needs.
- Opt-out: where legally available, users may request to opt out of certain marketing activities or certain data-sharing practices recognized under local law.
- Restriction or objection: users in some regions may request limits on certain processing activities or object to specific uses of their data.
- Non-discrimination: users will not receive unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights.
To exercise any of these rights, users may contact support@honira.com. Honira may need to verify identity before completing a request in order to protect account security and prevent unauthorized disclosure or deletion.
6. Children’s Privacy
Honira is intended only for adults and older users who meet the app’s stated age threshold. The app is not designed for children under 18, and accounts for individuals below that age are not permitted.
Honira does not knowingly gather personal information from children under 13 and does not intentionally offer the service to minors under 18. If it becomes apparent that information from a child or underage user has been submitted, reasonable steps may be taken to disable the account, remove associated content, and delete relevant records where required.
Parents or guardians who believe a minor may have provided information through Honira may contact support@honira.com. Requests concerning children’s data will be reviewed in line with applicable law, including COPPA where relevant.
7. Policy Updates
From time to time, this policy may be revised to reflect product changes, legal developments, operational updates, or shifts in how the app handles information. A revised version may be posted at any time, and the date at the top of this page will show when the current text took effect.
If a change materially affects user rights or how personal information is handled, Honira may provide additional notice through the app, by email, or by another reasonable method. Continued use of the app after the updated policy becomes effective will be treated in accordance with applicable law and the revised terms then in effect.
